Tipton Baseball Complex Capital Campaign: Encompass Credit Union Proudly Supports Our Community’s Future
For the past few years, the Tipton community has been without dedicated youth baseball fields, leaving families, coaches, and young athletes eager for their return. That wait is officially over. A new Tipton Baseball Complex is now in the works, and the community is rallying behind it.
Why Youth Sports Matter
Studies have shown that participating in youth sports provides immense educational, physical and mental health, and social benefits. ProjectPlay reports that “sports activity helps children develop and improve cognitive skills,” and “Physical activity, and sports in particular, can positively affect aspects of personal development among young people, such as self-esteem, goal setting, and leadership.”
Rallying Community Support
The Tipton Baseball Complex is planned to include:
A 350-foot Babe Ruth Diamond
A 200-foot Cal Ripken Diamond
A dedicated Pee Wee Diamond
Concession and restroom facilities
Spectator seating and public amenities
The campaign has gained significant traction, with local organizations and businesses, including Encompass Credit Union, officially committing their support.
As reported by The Reporter, Mayor Schmicker states, “This campaign represents more than bricks and mortar…It’s a rallying point for our city—a place where our kids will play, where families will gather, and where Tipton’s love for the game will live on.”
